I play baseball in high school and am confident i can play D2 or junior college baseball. I know i want to coach college baseball after i get out of college but im not sure what the nessisary steps are to reach my dream.
Any major will do, as long as you are involved with the sport at the college level. I know several men with the same goal as yours. The are majoring in Sports Management. With the goal of coaching at the collegiate level in mind, once you are involved with the college team, look at post-grad work as an assistant. This will give you valuable experience and give you exposure.

I have Hashimoto’s disease/hypo-thyroidism and when my blood tests came back recently, they found that the Human Growth Hormone was slightly elevated. The doctor didn’t really explain it, and I was just wondering what caused it, and if it should be of concern, thanks
Hello…growth hormone is produced directly by the pituitary gland. If HGH it is elevated then pituitary tumors or cysts should be investigated as a possible cause. Your Dr. should be doing other testing to see if other hormones are off also. The fact that you have Hashimotos can be deceiving to Drs…I had Hashimotos AND a pituitary problem but both were misdiagnosed because together it through my TSH (thyroid) tests off. If your Dr. is going solely on TSH to say the pituitary is ok, he could be missing it. In any case, if you are not seeing an endocrinologist you should see one with pituitary expertise. This site has good Dr. listings: www.pituitary.org and this one is good for looking at possible pituitary symptoms: http://www.goodhormonehealth.com/symptoms/gland_hormone_symptom_table.html

What are some natural (herbal) supplements that are good for fat burning or metabolic increase for people who are concerned about their blood pressure?
The biggest one is actually a mineral called Chromium (which is also in most multivitamins). It helps to boost glucose metabolism among others, so it helps with energy and is often used by Diabetics because of that… but it can be too good for glucose in some cases, so Chromium has a warning to check with a healthcare provider if you’re Diabetic/Hypoglycemic.
There is also a natural product called CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) which is a fat that helps to burn fat. It’s a weird idea, but it works.
There are other natural supplements that give energy that help you workout to burn more fat, but don’t help your metabolism as directly. Also, exercising on a regular basis helps your body naturally increase metabolism on it’s own. Exercising with those two supplements and/or a variety of others will definitely help to burn a lot of fat and are commonly used for weight loss.
Of course, on the flip side, there is no magic pill that will let you burn fat while sitting on the couch watching TV… but once one is made, you know it’ll be the hottest selling product.
Good luck and I hope I helped!

At one point in time, several states passed laws that only dietitians could speak on the subject of nutrition on the Internet. Yet dietitians (paid by industry) are recommending aspartame and fluoridation despite the fact that these are known carcinogens and neurotoxins?
How do you feel about that?
i disagree. aspartame is never been proven to be a carcinogen.

i am underweight. 20 years and only 115 pounds. i have tried everything to gain weight but it never worked. now i have started to work out. i thought that if i take protein suppliment, it would be better to gain weight and for body building too. so somef u could suggest me some, i would be really thankful to you.
Eat 6 times per day, exercise 5 times per week, take 2 days off and after every workout take whey protein. I would recommend Designer Whey (http://www.designerwhey.com).
Since you want to gain weight, take more carbohydrates and protein in your diet. Fruits and vegetables are also important. Always drink lots of water.
Remember to take the recommended amount, no more or less. Any more or less, there will be no benefit.
You can take Creatine also. But never, ever take steroids or amino acid supplements. Steroids shrinks you package.
Email me if you need more info. Good luck. ^_^
