What supplements can you use to aid you in losing body fat?

February 27th, 2010 Posted in Supplements | 1 Comment »

I am currently dieting and exercising. I do a combination of 20-30 mins of cardio and 15-20 of yoga and strength training about 2-3 times a week. I noticed that I am losing weight but not much body fat. Is there any supplements that can aid me in losing more body fat?

PS. anything supplements without caffeine is a plus because caffeine gets me sick.

All I ever hear is that Supplements don’t work. Really, where do you see them advertised? Places and publications that make their money telling you to buy junk.

From your "Avatar", I guess that you’re a woman. Women tend to keep a proportion of body fat unless they get heavily into weight lifting, which raises testosterone that in turn burns up more fat.

What do baseball players say to each other?

February 27th, 2010 Posted in Baseball | 7 Comments »

I’ve notices this while watching baseball games on television. When the batter gets a hit and goes to first base, before the pitcher faces the next batter the baserunner and first baseman will talk to each other. What do they say?

They often talk about how they got on base. They’ll say "nice hit" or "good eye man" stuff like that, because they’re all baseball players and they can relate. Some know eachother and will ask about how their family is doing and stuff like that. Some guys talk trash playfully, some guys just talk about random stuff trying to get into your head (Kevin Millar). The more they talk to the runners, the less focused they are on the actual game, so they can be picked off or make a stupid decision.

What is the best time of the day to take vitamins and supplements?

February 24th, 2010 Posted in Supplements | 4 Comments »

I take a Multi-Vitamin, a calcium supplement, two omega supplements and a vitamin B supplement. I was told the other day that taking them all together cancels out their effectiveness. When would be the best time of day to take all of these supplements, and which one’s should be taken with food?

Thank you!

It’s best to take in the morning for a few reasons:

Taking vitamins in the morning actually helps to give you energy, just like how eating the fruits & veggies they are found in would give you energy. This is the same reason you should not take them at night.

Taking vitamins in the morning also basically just benefits your body more than it would at night. You need those vitamins and minerals to function throughout the day when you’re doing (physical, sometimes mental) work. Your body doesn’t need them at night, since all you’re doing is sleeping. Your body is resting at night; therefore your body isn’t doing any work.

It’s best not to recommend as to whether one should take the supplements with food or not. The real way to know is to read the bottle. However, it is better to take them with food, just to be safe. It’ll be easier on your stomach and be digested quicker.

Here are some other vitamin and mineral supplement tips:
•Calcium carbonate should be taken right after a meal
•Iron supplements should be taken on an empty stomach
•B complex vitamins can be taken with food if the B complex vitamins make you feel queasy
•Don’t take vitamins with alcohol

How are baseball and hot dogs linked?

February 24th, 2010 Posted in Baseball | 4 Comments »

Can somebody link me to a site, or possibly suggest a book that explains how hot dogs coincide with baseball?

Around the turn of the century (1900-1910) the hot dog came on the scene in the USA. They were reportedly sold at the 1904 Worlds Fair in St. Louis, MO. Once they figured out that these little sausages could be placed in a bun the hotdog became portable. It also helped that the hotdogs could be cooked easily (steamed, grilled, boiled, etc.). I am not certain which Ballpark first started selling hotdogs to stand, but I am guessing it was on the East Coast, maybe New York. They were a big hit! Easy, portable, inexpensive to produce. What a deal.

What supplements should it take to get faster?

February 21st, 2010 Posted in Supplements | 5 Comments »

I’m 15 and just recently looked through some supplements that could help me in track.
I want to try playing football next year so i want to get bigger and faster.
I am 5′6 and weight 121lbs. I was thinking what type of supplements would help me?
So far I’ve seen creatine, whey protein, and vitamin C&E as good supplements.
So what supplements should i take and some good and cheap brands of each one.

Speed work, sprinting etc will get you faster. Supps will only aid in recovery but will not make you faster. A quality chemical free whey protein minus the fillers and additives is a great choice along with a multivitamin. I found a good inexpensive whey protein at http://www.buybulkwhey.com

What is the difference between Human Nutrition and Nutrition?

February 21st, 2010 Posted in Nutrition | 1 Comment »

I’ve seen courses at university for Human Nutrition and also Degree’s for just Nutrition, but what is the difference?

I would have to say that Human Nutrition is referring to the nutrients that humans should consume. Nutrition could be referring to what any other living creature should consume.

How do baseball staduims know when sever weather is aproaching?

February 21st, 2010 Posted in Baseball | 10 Comments »

How do baseball stadiums such as US cellure field or Wrigley Field know when sever weather is approaching and what would they do if a Tornado Warning is issued? Please let me know thank you.
Is a tornado warning was issued during a game in progress?
Such as the one that happened during a Cubs Game At Wrigley Field last August?

They listen to the National Weather Service casts, and there’s this amazing invention that lets you look through walls — it’s called a "window" — which sometimes they stick their head out of, and take a look around.

Does anyone know what the best human growth hormone available is?

February 21st, 2010 Posted in Growth Hormone | 2 Comments »

I’m starting to lose a step and have heard that this is a really good way to fight the effects of aging. Please let me know what you have tried and what benefits you noticed. I know that buying the best human growth hormone is probably expensive, but I’m willing to give it a try.

I just had my thirty-nine birthday. I’ve managed to stay in shape over the years using aerobic and strength exercises, but about a year ago I noticed a decrease in my stamina and energy level. I didn’t have the physical endurance level I needed to complete some of the exercises that I had been doing for years. I also noticed that my sexual endurance was suffering, and my sleep pattern was changing. Wrinkles started to appear around my eyes, but they didn’t bother me as much as the endurance issues. I decided to do some research, so I could feel better about myself.

I realized that my natural level of Human Growth Hormone was decreasing throughout my body, based on the information I found on the Internet. HGH levels decrease with age, and I wanted to get those levels back to normal somehow. A friend told me about a website he visited and thought I should take a look at it, because he was going through the same situation, plus his hair was thinning and his memory was not as good as he thought it should be. We both visited www.Sytropin.com and read the reviews about the oral spray they called Sytropin. We both liked the idea that it was natural and had no side effects, plus it came with a ninety day guarantee. The website said the spray goes right to the bloodstream, so the amino acids aren’t affected by the digestive system, and we didn’t have to mess with injections or pills or any additional expense.

After about forty five days I started to feel a difference in my energy level, and I was sleeping better; my friend said his eye sight got better after thirty or forty days, so we both felt we made the right decision. I’ve been taking Sytropin ever since, and I wouldn’t start a day without it. My workouts are back to normal and I can even see a difference in the wrinkles around my eyes. My stamina is back, so my sexual performance is as good as, or better than, it has ever been.
