I am new to body building. I have a well balanced diet of fruits and veggies and protein like chicken and fish. I also take creatine and protein supplements. So do I really need a multivitiamin or will that just be overkill?
I would typically agree with Nick b that multivitamins are a waste of money for most people eating a balanced diet. However, for a serious athlete or even a beginning bodybuilder, a multivitamin is very helpful. It is difficult to get all the minerals and vitamins you need to build muscle solely from your diet. If you’re doing the level of strength training where you benefit from whey and creatine, you need a multivitamin. I would suggest going with a men’s multi and also a magnesium supplement. The magnesium is essential for energy metabolism and protein synthesis and complements your other supplements. Given the low cost of multivitamins compared to other supplements, it’s cheap insurance that you’re providing your body with what it needs to grow.

I wish to build some serious muscle.I have played some sports and look fit but am more on the slim side. Will my body respond to some hard core body building at 27? How long would it take me to look like a pro body buillder?
When I see older guys like Sylvester Stallone and Jack LaLanne I just know that age is irrelevant when it comes to physical fitness and an amazing body. So kudos to you! You’re only as young as you feel–and by no means is 27 old to begin with! I didn’t start until I was in my late 30′s!
But a few words of caution—Your health is more important than muscularity. It’s easy to get caught up in wanting to be bigger and bulkier, when in fact endurance and agility, balance and flexibility are more important than beef or bulk. It has been difficult for me to accept myself as I am because I’m naturally petite. Blood, sweat and tears to "get bigger." While remaining lean. And people still see someone who is small. I hate that. But unless I damage my health and do steroids, I will never achieve the look that in my mind’s eye is "perfect." We are but flesh and must learn to be forgiving and love what we’ve been blessed with.
Be fit, build muscle, create definition. But more important is to accept yourself. There are a lot of people that would give anything to be lean and slender. Celebrate what you have! Atlas bore the weight of the world on his shoulders. Over the long haul, believe me, it gets to be much.

How can I build my body soon? What are the best supplements for body building and protein creating? What are your experiences? Thanks in advance.
I’d have to say Xtreme No. My brother visits the gym and he includes Xtreme No in his diet and now, he has a six-pack abs that women would die for. Xtreme No is a body building supplement that provides fast post-workout recovery, increases strength and muscle growth and thereby, improves masculinity. It is also proven safe and effective because unlike any other supplement it has no chemical stimulants on it.

I’m 14 and I’m sort of skinny and my family keeps telling me to lift weights! The thing is one day I’m body building my but off the same next day but then the third day I’m to lazy to do it and it stays like that for like the next 3 months!!! So to all you guys who r addicted to bodybuilding please give me advice, thanks.
Agree with the dude above – you’ve got to love the feeling of pushing yourself until it hurts and your body changing shape and the sense of achievement you get as you stick more weight on the bar and lift to failure.
You either try it and love it or you don’t.

I’ve been searching for negative effects of body building but all I found were negative effects of steroid use and drugs during body building. So what are some negative effects of bodyy building alone w/o steroid or drug use. Thanks.
For the most part people body build to create a ripped muscular body. To accomplish this you must stick to a weekly regiment that includes days devoted to working the major muscle groups to build the muscle and days devoted to cadio activity to create the ripped look.
Also you must regulate your caloric intake to lower your body fat below the normal range for men and women. Men have about 18% and women 22% body fat on the average. These are very rough numbers. To accomplish this you need to live on a diet of chicken breast without the fat and lettuce. Because the diet I just described won’t keep you alive you will need to suppliment the diet with protein, slow digesting carbs, and vitamins.
So now for negative effects:
Work out; muscle damage, ligament damage, running injuries, gym accidents, electrolye imbalances
Diet; vitamin deficiencies, loss of too much fat, muscle growth imbalance, hypoglycemia
Combination; When you lose fat you also lose muscle. The one muscle that you don’t want to lose mass in is you heart. This can lead to heart failure. You can become to enamoured with your ability to lose weight. This can lead to anorexia.
I love the lean ripped muscular look. Just make sure you do your homework before you get into a life threatening situation.

I use to train with a trainer eight years ago and I quit after a while because of personal issues. I started lifting again today and I’m using the same trainer that I had 10 years ago. Since we know each other he said that he is not giving me a regular training session but a professional body building session to help me build up a lot of muscles faster. So my question is what’s the difference between the normal way of building muscles compared to the way professionals use to lift weights?
The main difference is steroids use. There are ways you can properly use steroids that give you huge results without harmful side effects. It’s very expensive and very complicated thats where your “professional body building trainer” comes in. For normal weight lifting there is really no difference between regular training session and professional body building session. As long as your form is always correct the amount of work you put in is equal to the amount of results.

I’ve been working out, running, lifting weights, etc. etc. etc. a whole lot and I am looking into buying some body building supplements cuz I want to get ripped. Any tips or suggestions as to what I should get? No steroids or Hgh.
Pure whey protein is good as protein helps a lot in building muscles. Optimum 100% Whey Protein is great. I used to take it, but now I take NO-Xplode (pre-workout) and AST Multi Pro 32X (multi-vitamins) along with some others containing high in fiber and joint supports (not necessarily supplements).

I go the gym 6 days a week and work a different body part each day and rest on sunday. How important is diet really for body building. I really dont have an appetite large enought to eat every 3 hours so if i dont have to i wont, and if i do have to is there an alternative way? Please god help me.
It’s an accepted standard of sorts, but not always necessary. The main idea behind that is to constantly give your metabolism something to do thus its used as a tool for weight control. It doesn’t matter if you’re going up or down in weight. It’s just easier to manage by having a routine of eating something every three hours or so. It’s not just when you eat it’s also what you eat. Those meals every three hours are no more then a half a bowl full of some type of food. It’s not a big sit down meal. The three biggest ones are, breakfast, a light meal an hour before the workout and a light carb load within an hour after the workout. Timing is the key when trying to shed fat and get ripped for a show. I have one coming up in Sept and I’ve been on that sort of routine for over 5 years. Most I know at the gym do something similar. It works for me and I’ve been at it a while so it’s easy for me. I don’t really like it, I just do it. For me it seems I’m always eating, cooking, cleaning dishes. I now cook enough food on a Sunday to last for that type of meal format for seven days. If I were still married I would have a hard time doing that. It’s a lot easier since I’m the only one I have to cook for.

But forget to look at the pre steroid years of body building and call it new . Which is where their secret stuff come from by the way . It like steve reeves wasn’t even born or something. i mean eugene sandow is rowing in his grave right now because of people like this.
what every happen to respecting the old school and give them the recondition they deserve .
Because they want you to try their product. Why would they endorse something that would make you muscular without using it? Then they would get no profit.
