I started lifting again today and I’m using the same trainer that I had 10 years ago. Since we know each other he said that he is not giving me a regular training session but a professional body building session to help me build up a lot of muscles faster. So my question is what’s the difference between the normal way of building muscles compared to the way professionals use to lift weights?

The main difference is steroids use. There are ways you can properly use steroids that give you huge results without harmful side effects. It’s very expensive and very complicated thats where your “professional body building trainer” comes in. For normal weight lifting there is really no difference between regular training session and professional body building session. As long as your form is always correct the amount of work you put in is equal to the amount of results.

It depends on what the salary cap was set at. If it was set at 150,000,000, then yes, the Red Sox would be just as screwed as the Yankees. If the salary cap was set at 200,000,000, then the Yankees could just get rid of someone like Lance Berkman and be under the limit. And then still have some money left over to replace him. (Berkman’s 2010 salary- $14,500,000, team salary- $206,333,389. 206,333,389-14,500,000=$191,833,389 total salary) I don’t think it would be as catastrophic as everyone thinks it would be, it just depends on what the cap was set at.

The BB not as much as you’d hope since he’s highly suspected to have been using steroids. as for the others…the more recognizable the name, the more money. also they are all on different teams…people from different teams on one ball is cool and all, but not worth as much as if they were all on one team especially during the same season and even more especially during that season they won the world series.

i’d take it into a sports memorabilia store to get them appraised.

It’s an accepted standard of sorts, but not always necessary. The main idea behind that is to constantly give your metabolism something to do thus its used as a tool for weight control. It doesn’t matter if you’re going up or down in weight. It’s just easier to manage by having a routine of eating something every three hours or so. It’s not just when you eat it’s also what you eat. Those meals every three hours are no more then a half a bowl full of some type of food. It’s not a big sit down meal. The three biggest ones are, breakfast, a light meal an hour before the workout and a light carb load within an hour after the workout. Timing is the key when trying to shed fat and get ripped for a show. I have one coming up in Sept and I’ve been on that sort of routine for over 5 years. Most I know at the gym do something similar. It works for me and I’ve been at it a while so it’s easy for me. I don’t really like it, I just do it. For me it seems I’m always eating, cooking, cleaning dishes. I now cook enough food on a Sunday to last for that type of meal format for seven days. If I were still married I would have a hard time doing that. It’s a lot easier since I’m the only one I have to cook for.

coming from an experienced ball player….you really need to watch the games and understand how the game is played….know all the rules and regulations and def. practice! if i were you i would start going to the batting cages every single day! i would get some friends together that know the game well and have them teach you…i would buy all my baseball equiptment including batting gloves,mitts,bats,balls….if you have a local high school team nearby practice with them….i would start low level adult slow pitch softball and get a feel for the game, then work your way up to adult fast pitch baseball,then possibly semi pro,then if your good enough maybe even pro! all you need to do is PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! oh and choose what kindof player you want to be if you know names like Albert Pujols,Derek Jeter,Alex Rodriguez,Manny Ramirez,Torii Hunter,Chase Utley they all have set positions on the field in wich they play set your mind to being the best player on the field and in a matter of years you could be good enough!

You’re better off finding a reputable dealer and buying individual cards than trying to get old cards in Topps packs. It’s like playing the lottery-odds are you’ll never get a card you want.Some reputable dealers are Kevin Savage, Kit Young, 707 Sportscards, Larry Fritsch-Google any of them. Ebay is an option, but beware and bid carefully. Get a Price guide like Tuff Stuff or Becket and learn about conditions and pricing, and learn how to bargain.
