And as you know, they have two very different goals. I do not seek a “ripped” body builder look, so I train fairly heavy almost in the powerlifter way. Even the isolated movements are maxed out on weight because my goal is strength, but I will take size as a necessary by-product of high-intensity workouts and a high-protein diet. I do drink a Whey shake daily after training. But my Protein comes mostly from beef, chicken and eggs! More “power” to you, bro!

I think we pretty much agree down to a very fine level. Steroids definitely is cheating and far to risky. And supplementing is, I agree, NOT the only way, in fact, it is NOT A way to gain. Your adage of HARD WORK, GOOD DIET is the only way to make real, honest gains. My point of disagreement is that I think taking protein, fish oil, and “nutritional supps” are no different than taking a multi-vitamin/mineral. You just CAN’T get all your body needs with the normal American diet.

Supplements = Cheating? Supplementing the way Vince describes in this video is just that, it is supplementing the “good diet”, because not all people have a fully balanced diet. I won’t go into all the obvious comparisons, but just as an example, do you walk everywhere? Is driving a car not cheating? So, while your point is 100% correct on diet and hard work, proper supplementing is just common sense. Now, to the others who think Tribulus etc etc etc do somthing for them, it’s all in the head!

I do not intend to build muscle quickly at all. I’d have a strength first and then size. That’s why you see powerlifters doing an insane amount of weight compared to body builders who are usually bigger.

what you need to understand is that the supplements (mostly) are to complete your diet because without almost perfect diet u arent gonna build muscle in fast and convenient way. and so if u want to just eat the right food instead of using supplements, then good luck with that, heck if i had enough money id do that too. prolly will cost u about 400-500 a month

I have trained under all kinds of different systems over the past few decades as well as trained thousands of people in commercial gyms.
The only training theory that proved to be valid was the one originally proposed by Arthur Jones and later perfected by Mike Mentzer. Of course there are people out there that get angry at the mere mention of these names.
However the critics in every case have never taken the time to truly understand H.I.T. As you already know, H.I.T. works.
